The Association of Surgeons in Training has written to Wes Streeting, Layla Moran and Professor Gillian Leng to formally request participation in the Independent Review of the role of Physician Associates and Anaesthetic Associates in the NHS. Having conducted the largest survey on PAs role in surgery, we are uniquely placed to support this review.

Following the recent publication of the changes to Core Surgical Training Recruitment 2022 - 2023, ASiT, the Trainee Surgical Speciality Associations’ & BMA UKJDC have sent a joint letter to the Chairs of the four Educational Bodies, highlighting trainees concerns and perspectives regarding the MSRA introduction.
