The ASiT Team is delighted to open recruitment to ASiT council.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the largest surgical trainees’ association in the UK and Ireland, working alongside the current ASiT Council to promote excellence in surgical training and education.

Regional Representatives make up a significant component of the ASiT Council and provide a vital local point of contact with ASiT for surgical trainees across all grades and specialties. There are currently 23 regions. The regional representative network is closely aligned to the Schools of Surgery and postgraduate deaneries.
ASiT Locally Employed Doctor (LED) / Specialty Doctor Representative
Applications are now open for 1 Locally Employed Doctor/ Specialty Doctor Representative position who will be an ASiT council member. They will serve a key role in the UK and Republic of Ireland to represent the interests of LED/specialty doctors in surgical training and education.
ASiT Robotics Lead
Applications are now open for 1 Robotics Lead position who will be an ASiT council member. The role of robotics in surgery is now well established. As the largest organisation representing surgical trainees, ASiT must encourage, support and recognise the role of robotics in surgical training and, as always, provide leadership for the benefit of both patients and trainees. To achieve this, we have a dedicated ASiT Robotics Lead.
ASiT Medical Student Representative
Applications are now open for 1 Medical Student Representative position who will be an ASiT council member. They will serve a key role in maintaining communication and engagement with medical students across the UK and Ireland.
ASiT Research Representative
Applications are now open for 1 new Research Representative position who will be an ASiT council member. They will serve a key role in maintaining communication and engagement with academic bodies in addition to assisting with academic output from the organisation.
