Demonstrating an early commitment to surgical excellence, she achieved her Primary FRCS in 1991 and was awarded the FRCS in 1993, later attaining the FRCS in General Surgery in 2000. Her early postgraduate training included a Senior House Officer rotation at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, followed by Higher Surgical Training within the North East Thames rotation.

In 2001, Miss Gray was appointed Consultant General Surgeon at Southend University Hospital, where she has built an extensive clinical practice.
