Gulzar Dhanoya

Dr Gulzar Dhanoya is a Core Surgical Trainee at the Newcastle University Hospitals Trust and currently serves as the Northern Regional Representative on the ASiT Council. He graduated from University College London Medical School in 2022. and went on to complete his Foundation Training at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust in Brighton, where he was actively involved in surgical education as the Surgical Foundation Representative.

He represents trainees across all grades and specialties in the Northern region. With a strong commitment to surgical training and advocacy, he continues to work closely with local trainees, training committees, and medical schools to identify key issues and promote engagement across the region. He has presented research at multiple national and international surgical conferences and is passionate about supporting the next generation of surgeons through local education and mentorship initiatives.
Beyond surgery, he has a keen interest in music and is a lifelong supporter of Newcastle United.
