Nahid Shamandi

Nahid is a CST1 in the Northern Ireland deanery with an interest in trauma and orthopaedic surgery.  She graduated in 2020 from Queen’s University Belfast with a previous PhD degree in Molecular Biology and Epigenetics. Having done a PgCert in clinical education, she is passionate about providing learning opportunities for all healthcare professionals specifically junior doctors.  She is a new member of ASiT and hopes this collaboration helps with her goal of making surgical courses accessible to all surgery enthusiasts. In her spare time, Nahid enjoys the outdoors and is a keen gardener.
