Mohammad Miah
Regional Representative - East Midlands
Mr Mohammad Miah is an ST7 vascular and endovascular surgery registrar in the East Midlands, UK, progressing to ST8 in August 2025. He recently passed the FRCS (Vascular Surgery) examination and is on track to complete his CCT in July 2026.
He holds a Master of Surgery in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery from the University of Edinburgh and has submitted a PhD thesis. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Health Management to complement his clinical and leadership training.
Mr Miah has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and delivered 18 international presentations. His research interests include chronic limb-threatening ischaemia, graft surveillance, and expanding endovascular services in district general hospitals.
He is passionate about education and serves as faculty in national surgical courses. As a Course Director for Royal College of Surgeons of England programmes, he has led and delivered high-quality surgical training. He regularly mentors junior trainees and has organised regional teaching initiatives.
Outside the operating theatre, he is a devoted father to a lovely daughter and enjoys fishing and travelling with his family. Mr Miah strives to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while promoting innovation in vascular surgery.
