I am a Royal Navy General Surgery ST4 training in the Wales Deanery, currently Out Of Programme (Research) undertaking a Doctorate of Medicine at Cardiff University. Since joining the Royal Navy in 2015, I have deployed across the world including to the British Virgin Islands as part of the UK’s humanitarian response to Hurricane Irma. My clinical interests are HPB, Trauma, Emergency General Surgery and Global Surgery and I am one of the Royal College of Surgeons of England’s inaugural Humanitarian Surgery Innovation Fellows, undertaking research to use technology to improve training in low resource settings.
