ASiT x Surgery Journal CST Essay Prize 2024

ASiT and the Surgery Journal are delighted to announce this year's essay prize! 

We invite essays of no more than 1500 words (excluding references) from entrants exploring the following title:

"The future of surgical training - what would the ideal postgraduate surgical training programme look like in 2035?"

PRIZES:

Fantastic prizes sponsored by The Surgery Journal include:

• 1st place: Publication of the essay in The Surgery Journal + £200 of Elsevier Book Vouchers + one year’s free subscription to Surgery
• 2nd place: £100 of Elsevier Book Vouchers
• 3rd place: £50 of Elsevier Book Vouchers

ELIGIBILITY:

• Entrants must be ASiT members and employed in the UK at a Core Surgical Trainee level (i.e. post foundation training and pre-ST3 level) at the time of application.
• Essays should be written in Arial size 12-font, double-spaced, and referenced in the Vancouver style. 
• The word count must not exceed 1500 words (excluding cover page and reference list).
