Elizabeth O'Connell

Elizabeth is a CT2 with a General Surgery theme, working in Liverpool. She graduated from Hull York Medical School in 2019, and had undertaken a BSc in Clinical Sciences prior to this at the University of Bradford. She returned to the Northwest for her foundation training at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Elizabeth has a keen interest in medical education, and prior to Core Surgical Training worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow in surgery, undertaking a PGCert in Medical Education at Edge Hill University during this time. She is a keen advocate for widening participation, and is a member of the National Medical Schools Widening Participation Forum, and volunteers as a mentor with the Social Mobility Fund’s Transitions Through Medical School programme. Elizabeth is the newly elected Northwest representative.
