Roberta Garau

Roberta is a General Surgery Trainee based in Edinburgh. Roberta graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2018 and completed her Academic Foundation Training and Core Training in Edinburgh. She has an interest in Colorectal Cancer Research. She is currently Out of Programme for Research to undertake a PhD looking at the link between high fat diet and colorectal carcinogenesis. She was elected to the ASiT Council as South East of Scotland Representative in 2020 and joined the Executive Committee in March 2022 as Webmaster & Bursary Liaison.  She was elected as Vice-President in March 2023, and President in March 2024. She has an interest in education, trainees advocacy and academic research. Any feedback or questions are welcome!
