Emerging Leaders in Surgery - Sunday 10th March
The course is designed for medical students interested in a surgical career to learn about the managerial, nontechnical and decision-making capabilities required to succeed across all types of leadership opportunities in surgery, with focus on supporting students obtaining their first leadership opportunities to enact change within any projects they run or roles they take on.
Participants will gain basic foundations in managing healthcare organisations, change management, leading within and across NHS systems, understanding one’s leadership style, professional development, surgical innovation, teamwork and business skills in surgery.
There will also be a group project during the course which will be presented at the end of the day.
